Dividendly (dividendly.ai) is a dividend-stock research site. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We collect very little.

What we collect and why

Email address — favorites and alerts

If you use the Favorites feature or sign up for dividend alerts, we ask for your email address. We use it solely to:

We do not use your email address for marketing, do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes, and do not sell it.

Usage data

Our web server logs standard request data — IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This is used solely for diagnosing errors and understanding general traffic patterns. Logs are not sold or shared.

Locally stored data

Your theme preference and a local cache of your favorite stocks are stored in your browser (localStorage). This data never leaves your device unless you enter your email to sync favorites.

Analytics — Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web-analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address (which Google may anonymize), device and browser type, pages visited, time on page, and referring source. This information is aggregated and used for statistical analysis; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

The data collected is transmitted to and stored by Google. For more information on how Google uses this data, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising — Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can control personalized advertising through Google Ad Settings and learn more at How Google uses cookies in advertising.

Cookies

Dividendly itself does not set cookies for its own features; theme and favorites preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage. However, the third-party services described above — Google Analytics and Google AdSense — do set cookies and similar technologies on your device for analytics and advertising purposes. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and you can use the opt-out tools linked above. If we add or change the services we use, this policy will be updated first.

Third-party data providers

Market, dividend, and fundamental data is sourced from financial-data providers and public regulatory filings. These providers supply data to us; they do not receive your personal information from Dividendly.

How long we keep your data

Email addresses linked to favorites or alerts are retained until you request deletion. You may request removal of your email and associated data at any time by contacting us (see below).

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. To do so, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

Dividendly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
