Dividendly is a publisher of general dividend research, operated by MCP Labs LLC. Everything on this site is impersonal: it is published in the same form for every reader and does not take into account your financial situation, holdings, objectives, tax position or tolerance for risk. Our scores and rankings are generated by formulas that are published on our methodology pages and give the same result for a security whoever is looking at it. Tools that use figures you enter, such as the calculators, apply the same arithmetic to any figures; their results are not advice about what you should do.

Data accuracy

Dividend, price, and fundamental data is aggregated from third-party financial-data providers (see Data Sources). This data may be delayed, incomplete, restated, or contain errors. Prices are not real-time: they are refreshed once a day and show the most recent price available at that refresh. Dividend amounts and dates may not reflect the most recent announcements. We make no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information on this site. Always verify data directly with the issuing company, the relevant exchange, or your broker before acting on it. To report an error, use our error-report form; corrections are recorded on our data quality page.

Past performance and payment history

A company's dividend payment history — including the number of consecutive years of payments or increases — is historical fact, not a guarantee of future payments. Dividends can be reduced, suspended, or eliminated at any time at the discretion of the board of directors. A long payment history does not imply that a dividend is safe or will continue. Past dividend growth does not guarantee future increases.

Yield and return

Dividend yield is a mechanical calculation based on the latest declared regular dividend, annualized, and the most recent price on file. It changes as prices move. A high yield does not indicate a safe or superior investment; it may reflect elevated risk, a declining share price, or an unsustainable payout. Past yield levels and total returns are not indicative of future results.

Research scores, DividendRank and S.A.F.E. checks

The Dividend Safety, Growth and Value Scores, DividendRank and the S.A.F.E. checks are quantitative research tools, not recommendations or ratings of any security's merit as an investment. They are calculated by published formulas from reported financial data and dividend records, and they are subject to data error, model error and the limits of any systematic approach.

A score is not a probability and not a forecast. A high Dividend Safety Score does not mean that a dividend will continue, and a low one does not mean that it will be cut.
The Dividend Value Score compares current valuation measures with a security's own history and its peers. It is not a judgement that a price is too high or too low.
The S.A.F.E. name abbreviates the four checks (Solid, Accelerating, Flawless, Enduring). Passing them does not mean that a dividend or a security is safe.
Scores are not credit ratings and are not issued by a credit rating agency.
High scores do not predict outperformance; low scores do not predict underperformance. A test of the Safety Score against later dividend cuts is in progress; until its results are published, we make no claim about how well any score has anticipated dividend changes.
